The season opened with excitement and momentum as the De Soto Girls Swim Team kicked off competition at the Topeka West Invitational on Thursday, March 26th. The Wildcats delivered a strong early‑season showing, securing 3rd place overall in a field of 15 teams. 

From start to finish, the meet highlighted the team’s depth, steady progress, and growing confidence. Swimmers dropped time across multiple events, earned Consideration cuts, and took on new races with enthusiasm. 

It was a memorable debut that showcased both individual growth and a team‑focused mindset. Their efforts throughout the meet set a positive tone for the season ahead and offered an exciting glimpse of what’s to come for the Wildcats.
