In a year marked by transition, the Warriors embraced a new challenge—moving from Division 1 to Division 2. Rather than seeing the shift as a step back, this team viewed it as an opportunity. They attacked the season with focus, hunger, and unity, ultimately finishing the journey on top as state champions.
From the first practice to the final buzzer of the championship game, the Warriors demonstrated toughness, discipline, and belief. They defended with intensity, shared the basketball, and executed when it mattered most. Their 18 wins were the product of hard work, accountability, and a commitment to playing for something bigger than themselves.
Leadership That Shaped Champions
Behind this championship run stood strong, steady leadership from Head Coach Jake Wright and Assistant Coach Al Anderson.
Coach Wright led with vision and conviction. He challenged his players to pursue excellence in every area—effort, attitude, preparation, and character. His leadership was marked by both competitive fire and pastoral care. He demanded discipline on the court while consistently reminding his players of who they are in Christ.
Assistant Coach Al Anderson faithfully supported that mission. Through countless hours in the gym, individual instruction, encouragement on the bench, and conversations away from the spotlight, he invested deeply in the lives of these young men.
Together, this coaching staff modeled Christ-centered leadership. They prayed with their team, held them accountable in love, and continually pointed them toward a higher purpose. The championship trophy is a visible reward—but the greater victory lies in the spiritual growth and brotherhood formed throughout the season.
A Season to Remember
Winning a Division 2 State Championship in the first season after moving divisions makes this title even more special. It speaks to resilience, adaptability, and belief. The Warriors did not simply compete—they finished the mission.
This team represented Trinity with passion, humility, and integrity. They honored the game, respected their opponents, and glorified God in their effort and conduct.
An 18–4 record. A new division. A state title.
Most importantly, a group of young men growing as leaders, teammates, and followers of Christ.
Congratulations to our Warriors, Coach Wright, and Coach Anderson on a championship season that will be remembered for years to come.
