The Marching Lions had a great final Saturday of festival/competition performances. The group earned a Division I “Superior” rating at the IHSMA State Marching Band Festival at Kingston on Saturday afternoon before traveling to West Des Moines Valley to compete in the ValleyFest Showdown, the state’s premier marching band competition. The Marching Lions finished 3^rd place in their class and 2^nd place among Iowa 4A high schools (behind 1^st place by just two-tenths of a point). This was the strongest finish in program history capping of an amazing, record-setting season for the Marching Lions!
