The Ames Little Cyclones 3rd grade boys teams played in their first-ever games on Saturday, December 12th at Kingdom Courts in Ankeny. They played a pair of Ankeny Cenntenial Club teams and came out with 1 win and 1 loss. Both games came down to the last possession, Ames winning game one, 11-9 and losing game two, 15-14. The Little Cyclones rebounded well in both games led by Gideon Kennis and Ben Galvin.

Kennis hit the go-ahead bucket in games 1 on an out of bounds play assist from Beckett Rutherford. Key rebounds from Anderson Phillips and Macintyre Anderson down the stretch helped give the Little Cyclones many opportunities.

Schill, who made his first career bucker said, "It felt good to win the first game." Asking him to recount the final Rutherford to Kennis connection for the win, Ben said, "Yep, he made."

The Little Cyclones will be back in action after Christmas Break.
