The Norris Titan football team picked up their first win of the 2017 season. In a hard fought battle with the Plattsmouth Blue Devils, the Titans prevailed 14-13. The scoring was started early by Senior, Austin Schultz. On the Titans first offensive play, Schultz took the ball 87-yard for a Titan touchdown. After a Tyler Ruhl extra point, the Titans led 7-0. Plattsmouth responded on the next drive with a touchdown of their own, tying the game. On the first play of the second quarter, Schultz found the endzone again scoring on a 31-yard run. The Titans went into halftime with a 14-7 lead. In the third quarter, both defenses flexed their muscles and kept the ball game close going into the fourth and final quarter. With about six minutes left in the game, Plattsmouth struck through the air with a 43-yard touchdown pass. On the ensuing extra point, the Titans stayed strong and forced a missed PAT. The game would end 14-13. The Titans are now 1-1 on the season and will play Seward on the campus of Concordia University on Friday, September 8th at 7:00.
